Dear ASEI Members,

The National Board of ASEI needs to conduct its 2020 election to fill the Board of Directors open positions. Hence, the purpose of this communication is to request nominations from the membership or the ASEI National Board of Directors. There are two open positions that will be filled through this nomination process.

You can self-nominate or nominate someone else for the ASEI National Board position. If nominating someone else, please get concurrence from your nominee before submitting the nomination.

To be eligible to become a board member, the person must be an ASEI paid member in good standing for one year, actively participated in ASEI activities, and must have exhibited leadership qualities from experiences that would add significant value to the board. The nominee must be ready and willing to participate in all (or almost all) board meetings and contribute by participating in ASEI activities including membership of various committees of ASEI.

Please check your email communication to submit your nomination. The deadline to submit nominations is December 6th, 2019. If you have not received our communication then please email info@aseiusa.org.

Last month, on February 28th, we had an excellent presentation by Deval Desai (Vice President and Country Head, Magna India, Executive Director, Business Development) as part of ASEI Michigan Chapter's Network event. The topic was 'Future Mobility - Evolution or Revolution'...The right topic at the right time. We had a great audience and received a lot of compliments for the presentation. So thank you, Deval!!!

Today. we are look forward to our 2nd Network Event of 2019, Wishing it success!!!

The ASEI Team of the Michigan Chapter regrouped for 2019 with rejuvenated energy and exhilarated spirits. The new team for 2019 was introduced by Rakesh Patel, the National President. The team being led by Vatsala Upadhyay, as the President and Krishal Dalal as the Vice President includes Ravi Majmudar (Treasurer), Ananth Sankar (Secretary & Team Building Coordinator), Sanjay Patel (Web Director), Lalita Kambhampati (Communication and Content Director), Anjali Tiwari (Planning & Resource Director), Chirag Shah and Dr. Kash Prakash (Director for Outreach), Prakash Patel (Director for Team Events) and Anand Pappuri (Program Director for Networking Events).
The guiding body of advisors for the 2019 team consists of Rakesh Patel, Jwalant Lakhia, Deval Desai and Santosh Tiwari.

Over the last 30 years, ASEI has transformed from a local grass root organization into a national multi-tier organization across the United States. This phenomenal growth can only be attributed to its untiring efforts of its founders, its leadership and the long-standing members.

A plethora of ideas emerged as the team planned to pave its direction for 2019. Aligning the plans with the vision & mission of ASEI of providing networking opportunities for professionals, ASEI Michigan Chapter is kicking off its Networking Event with Mr. Deval Desai presenting his views on the "Future Mobility: Evolution or Revolution?" on Thursday, 28th February (6:30pm - 8pm) at Saffron Restaurant in Farmington Hills.

The networking events of ASEI will continue to happen on the last Thursday of every month.
Later this year, a Youth Technology Exhibition to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) has also been proposed. So please be a part of ASEI's journey to see how the year unfolds…
